Shortlist EV
Version: 1.2.3
Effective: 21 September 2026
Applies to: shortlistev.com.au and shortlistev.com
This page is the product disclaimer for Shortlist EV. It also covers using the site.
In short
Shortlist EV is a free tool that shortlists current Australian electric cars from what you tell us, and explains some EV terms. We are not a dealer, broker, or seller. We do not take bookings or sell cars.
Figures on this site are indicative planning numbers. They are not a quote, an offer, or a promise of the price you will pay. Confirm anything that matters with a dealer, the manufacturer, and — for tax or finance — the ATO and your own advisers.
We do not accept responsibility for the accuracy of vehicle data, prices, specifications, estimates, OEM content, or for decisions you make based on this site, except for rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Those rights continue to apply.
Some promotional badges may be paid. Where they are, we label them clearly. Shortlist places and ranking are never for sale.
1. Who we are
Shortlist EV operates this site (registered business name).
ABN: 35 907 390 991
Contact (privacy and this Disclaimer): privacy@shortlistev.com.au
The product interface may also use the brand ShortlistEV.
2. What this site is — and is not
This site is:
- a free information and shortlisting tool for current Australian electric vehicles
- optional education on EV terms
- a way to open manufacturer (OEM) websites so you can keep looking
This site is not:
- a car dealer, agent, broker, financier, or insurer
- an offer to sell a vehicle
- a quote, invoice, or contract
- personal tax, financial, or legal advice
- a guarantee that a shortlisted car is the right car for you
Using this site does not create an advisory or fiduciary relationship with us.
3. Information may be wrong, incomplete, or out of date
Vehicle data, prices, specifications, standard and optional equipment, drive-away and on-road estimates, FBT and salary-package notes, range figures (including WLTP and our everyday-range estimate), charging information, manufacturer or other third-party content, and anything else shown on this site may be incomplete, estimated, simplified, or out of date.
The catalogue can lag the market. Manufacturers change prices and specifications. On-road costs differ by state and by dealer. Prices move. A shortlist is up to three cars that matched what you told us — it is not a guarantee that a car is the right one for you, and ranking is a planning aid, not an offer.
We do not warrant that information on this site is accurate, complete, or current.
Before you rely on anything that matters to a purchase, confirm it with the manufacturer or a dealer. For tax or finance, confirm with the ATO and a registered tax agent or licensed adviser.
4. Estimates are not quotes
List prices, indicative drive-away figures, on-road cost notes, and similar numbers are planning figures only. They are not a quote, an offer, or financial advice. Confirm the actual price and inclusions with a dealer.
5. Range and WLTP
Published range is typically a WLTP laboratory figure used for comparison. Everyday range is usually less. Where we show an estimate of about 80% of WLTP, that is our planning estimate. It is not a manufacturer claim and not a promise of the range you will get.
6. FBT, salary packaging, and novated leases
Any FBT, salary-package, or novated-lease notes are general education only. They are not tax advice and not financial advice. They do not take into account your employment, income, or circumstances.
Check the ATO and your own situation. If you need advice, speak to a registered tax agent or a licensed financial adviser.
7. Your decisions
You decide whether to look at, shortlist, buy, not buy, finance, or salary-package a vehicle, and whether to visit a manufacturer or dealer site.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for those decisions, or for loss you suffer because you relied on this site.
This does not take away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
8. Manufacturer and other third-party content
Some information comes from manufacturers or other third parties. Links to their sites are for convenience. Those sites have their own terms, prices, and privacy practices. We do not control them.
A link is not an endorsement, partnership, or guarantee that their information is current. Check the destination site.
9. Offers, specials, and paid highlights
Some cars may show a promotional badge (for example “Special on now”).
Those badges are not all the same:
- Some are ordinary catalogue or manufacturer flags. Nobody has paid us to show them.
- Some promotional badges may be paid or sponsored by a dealer or a manufacturer. Where a badge is paid, we label it clearly (for example Paid placement).
Paid badges cannot change which cars qualify for your shortlist or the order they appear. Shortlist places and ranking are never for sale. Matching and ranking are based on what you told us, not on payment.
A badge is not a quote, not our offer to sell you a car, and not a promise the deal is current or available to you. Confirm it with the manufacturer or a dealer.
This page does not make a highlight lawful if the badge itself is misleading — for example if it looks like an independent special when it is paid, or if the deal is not as described.
10. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.
If we supply services to you as a consumer, those services may come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Where that law applies, those guarantees can include that services are provided with due care and skill.
If the Australian Consumer Law allows us to limit liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, and only where that kind of limit is available, our liability is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
For many services of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic, or household use, that kind of limit is not available. In those cases, this section does not limit your Australian Consumer Law rights.
We do not exclude liability for misleading or deceptive conduct where the law does not allow that.
11. Using this site

Except for rights that cannot be excluded, the site is provided as it stands. We may change, pause, or stop features.
We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. The version on this page is the current one. If you keep using the site after an update, you accept the updated Disclaimer.
Do not use the site in a way that is unlawful or that unreasonably harms the service.
